Back in April, we decided to delay the season start of Mountain Sky Guest Ranch with an August 2 tentative target opening. We communicated this goal and excitedly but thoughtfully prepared for a shortened season that integrated new COVID-19 protocols and mitigated as much risk as possible for our guests, staff Associates, and the local Paradise Valley community. We’ve had constant dialogue with the best medical experts locally, statewide, and nationally with the CDC to guide our preparations – but to our dismay, we’ve seen a recent surge in COVID-19 cases in Montana and across our country.
In light of these current conditions, we have made the decision to cancel our entire 2020 season. This is the most difficult decision we’ve ever made since purchasing Mountain Sky in 2001. But after careful consideration, and guided by our core value to put people first, we know this is the correct course of action for this moment in time. As the largest landowner in Paradise Valley and responsible stewards of this breathtaking land, we honor that trusted position with today’s decision to focus on the health and well-being of our guests, valley neighbors, and Associates who live in the community.
