While the 2018 season just wrapped, we’re already looking forward to assembling our 2019 team! Our three month positions will run June 2nd through August 25th. Our full season runs April 30 – mid-October. We have work available as early as April 1, and as late as November.
Guest Services – The ultimate variety job! Our guest services team is the largest crew on the ranch, and rotate not just day-to-day, but shift-to-shift through work at our kids program, in our dining room, and with the housekeeping department. Even more variety is available depending on your interests and skill set, including guiding guest hikes, working in our retail shop, helping out in the saloon, working at our high ropes challenge course, and more. We’re looking for people that are energetic, able to adapt to changing work environments, and willing to put the same effort into every task! 3 – 7 month positions available. June 2 to August 25 at minimum, with a start date as early as April 1 and an end date as late as October 31.
Wrangler – The ideal wrangler candidate will demonstrate both excellent customer service and strong horsemanship skills. Wranglers will lead rides on 17,000 private acres, in addition to the neighboring Gallatin National Forest. Trail rides aren’t your typical nose-to-tail walking dude rides; Our guests stay for a week at a time, and they come to ride! We lead walk, trot, and lope rides, all with a heavy instruction component. A riding video will be required from applicants not able to join us for a live riding interview, but it is not necessary to submit the video with your initial application. 3 – 7 month positions available. May 15 to August 26 at minimum, with a start date as early as April 1 and an end date as late as October 31.
Bar Manager – This position will manage the Mountain Sky Saloon, which includes general bartending duties pre- and post-dinner, providing wine and cocktail service during dinner, cleaning, inventory, and assisting with dinner service. Must be available to work our full season. Related experience is a must.
Challenge Course Community Facilitator (AMB West Base Camp and Challenge Course) – Successful candidates for this position will work with nonprofit organizations who utilize the Challenge Course and Basecamp property as a tool for their program enhancement. The position will be responsible for challenge course facilitation, and assisting in maintenance of Basecamp and Challenge Course properties, as needed. This is a seasonal position operating Mid-April through Mid-October, 2019.
Golf Groundskeeper -Will perform a diverse range of duties involved in golf course maintenance and construction, including semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work, on our 9 hole golf course. Must be available a minimum of June 1 – August 24.
Guest Services with Teen Program Focus – This hybrid position combines work in Guest Services with oversight of our Teen Program. Works directly with the Kids Program Director to engage and entertain our teen guests, ages 13+, with adventures including – but not limited to – photo scavenger hunts, trips to the Boiling River in Yellowstone, high adventure on our ropes course, evenings at our clay shooting range, and more! Must be 21 or older with a clean driving record to transport participants to various off-site activities in large passenger vans. Prior experience working with this age group is preferred, and strong consideration is given to applicants with climbing and/or high ropes course experience. May 22 to August 26 at minimum, with a start date as early as April 1 and an end date as late as October 31.
Kitchen Staff: Prep Cook – Responsible for the preparation of ingredients for our kitchen staff, with tremendous opportunity for growth under an executive chef who fosters an environment of teamwork and learning. 3 – 6 month positions available. June 3 to August 26 at minimum, with a start date as early as May 22nd and an end date as late as October 31.
Kitchen Staff: Breakfast Cook – This position will work directly with the AM Sous Chef to assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including the preparation of hot and cold foods for banquet-style meals, and maintaining the highest in food and sanitation standards. Must be available to work our full season.
Kitchen Staff: Cook – This position will assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including the preparation of hot and cold foods for banquet-style meals, receiving of food orders, and maintaining the highest in food and sanitation standards. 6 & 4 ½ month positions are available.
Manager: Dining Room Assistant – Assists the Dining Room Manager in all aspects of running our guest and staff dining rooms, as well as our outdoor ‘meal ride’ experiences. In the guest dining room, we serve a buffet-style breakfast and lunch, then offer a multi-course, casual fine dining experience for dinner. Key duties include staff training, management of Guest Services staff as they rotate in and out of the dining department, communicating guest needs to the kitchen staff, and organizing and maintaining the guest and staff dining rooms. While related experience is preferred, this is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for customer service to develop management skills. Position runs April 16 – October 31.
Manager: Housekeeping Assistant – Assists the housekeeping manager with training, guiding and scheduling housekeeping personnel, upholding 4-diamond standards in a resort ranch environment, upkeep of laundry, inventory and ordering. Daily housekeeping duties required. Runs the department in the manager’s absence. 6 month position.
Office Assistant and Guest Services – Will perform general front desk duties, provide unsurpassed customer service in a fast-paced environment, and communicate guest needs to various departments. Must be available to work May 22 through September 2nd at a minimum, with work in Guest Services available in May, September, and October to supplement the full season. Work week will include shifts spent working in guest services outside of the office. GREAT opportunity to move into a year-round position.
Ranch Hand – 3-7 MONTH EMPLOYMENT AVAILABLE. Candidate must have strong work ethic, self-motivated, detail oriented and willingness to work a varied work schedule based on time of year. Looking for someone mechanically inclined with experience working with livestock operations, knowledgeable with irrigation systems including hand line and wheel line, able to ride horseback in mountainous areas, and ability to successfully maneuver haying equipment including but not limited to tractor, baler, cutter, hay bine and hauler. Additional responsibilities include building, welding and repairing of fences, caring for livestock, monitoring grass/range health, maintenance of ATV’s, truck and ranch equipment.
