Born under the snowy peaks of Tehran and raised in the bayou of Louisiana, Romie found his way to Montana in 2003. He is no stranger to Mountain Sky, having worked in guest services, maintenance and in the kitchen from 2003-2008. Even as a cook, his creative and musical talents saw him regularly involved with the production of the kids program talent show, and the self-taught musician delighted guests and staff alike with performances on the guitar. After leaving Mountain Sky, he earned a master’s degree in environmental sciences at Montana State University in 2011 and conducted field research until 2015. He then found his way back to food and beverage as the Executive Catering Chef at MSU, and back to ranching as the Events and Beverage Manager at Flathead
